Another week and another episode of craziness. We start off seeing that everyone was upset by William leaving, Melissa, not so much.
Sidenote: I read William's exit interview and he stated that he knew his exit was coming and tried to enjoy his last moments in the house. He stated that the night before the rose ceremony, him and his boys sat and had a beer on the deck. Such a great guy and he never says anything bad to say about the other people in the house, well at least not publicly.
So The group gathers in the living area and Chris Harrison comes in and tells everyone that they need to couple up. Erica starts scrambling because she realizes that everyone is already coupled up except her and Blake. Blake was hoping that Holly would be his partner but is disappointed when she keeps her promise to Michael to be partners. As they realize the competition will be answering questions about each other, they start getting to know each other.
They arrive at the competition to see that they will be on the "nearlywed" game. Each couple sits and has to answer questions just as their partners would answer. They ask the girls first and then the guys. The funniest part of all this was that Kasey and Vienna totally sucked at this. Their thinking was they are dating and they know each other the best but they sure didn't answer like it. Blake and Erica do very well for not really know each other. The best part of this was Graham and Michelle came up with a strategy to answer questions so that they would know how to answer each and every question. It worked. Blake took the brunt of this challenge. He was voted the least favorite person in the house. I would like to point out that maybe now he knows how Melissa feels after the egg throwing challenge. It sucks to know what everyone really thinks of you. Blake knew he needed that rose to survive another week. Erica knew it too because of the grave Blake was constantly digging for the both of them. The answering of these questions was hilarious and awkward at times. Blake answered Holly to the housemate he'd most like to sleep with, with Michael sitting there, making for a lot of tension in the house. Holly also answers Blake to the housemate she'd most like to kiss. Again creating tension in the house. Eventually, Michelle and Graham's strategy prevails and they win the competition. They win a rose and a date. Blake and Erica win second place and in turn win a date as well, but no rose!
Michelle and Graham get taken away in a helicopter, the bachelor norm! They get dinner and a movie! It looks romantic and they seemed to have a good time and grow closer. Nothing but romance on this date!! Glad to hear that they are still together!!
Blake and Erica. So awkward. This was terrible. They walk around this old place, Blake seemed so interested in the history of this date. Erica was not. She was after one thing. Blake. She talked Blake up and down to try to get him to sleep with her. He wanted none of it. This was so awkward to watch. Blake wanted to go back to the house because he said he didn't want to be away from the house for too long due to the rose ceremony the next day. Erica pushed and pushed. It was like watching a high school dude trying to talk a girl into sleeping with him after a football game. It was awful. You had to feel bad for Blake during all this but then again, it makes it awful hard. They are also presented with saving another couple. This decision changes it all.
They get back to the house and Erica tells everyone that they didn't spend the night together. Holly is pleased with this. It becomes more and more obvious that Blake and Holly are together at this point and everyone is determined to get rid of Blake. Blake and Erica talk to Kirk and Ella first about their roses and then go to Kasey and Vienna. They end up giving the roses to Kasey and Vienna, dumbest move out there, but then again their fate was sealed no matter what. Ella gets very upset about all this, which is totally understandable.
Kasey and Vienna in the end couldn't keep their word as Michelle and Graham vote for Blake and Erica. Holly and Michael become the deciding vote. Michael gives Holly total control and tells her to pick and he will back up her vote. After some tears and a talk with Ella, she votes for Blake and Erica.
After Chris Harrison is done at the rose ceremony and Blake and Erica are asked to say their goodbyes. Erica takes it well and gets in her limo. Blake is clearly upset and says his goodbyes and hugs Holly. She hands him a note before he gets in the limo. She is obviously upset by all this. The note reads something like "my heart is breaking right now. this isn't the end and I will be seeing you soon. Miss you." Blake says he'll be keeping this for a very long time.
Let me state that even if Blake and Erica had given the roses to Kirk and Ella, their fate was sealed. Graham and Michelle were voting for them either way and without that rose, Kasey and Vienna were voting for them. It is obvious that Micheal wanted them gone and Holly would go along with it. So they were going home no matter what this week.
If you follow anyone in the bachelor nation on twitter, you'd be aware that Blake didn't and isn't making very many friends out of this situation. You hear most of the time that these people have a bond and are friends for life. Blake is the total opposite. There have been some articles written that Holly is moving to South Carolina to be with Blake. It seems to be clear that many don't appreciate Blake breaking the man code. There was some plenty of bashing going on last night via twitter and it will be interesting to see what happens in the finale next week. They are filming the finale today. Really really excited for next week!!
Fall shows are about to get started!! Can't wait to see what happens and if I can manage to keep up!! Have a great week everybody!!
